Where's Our Reality?

“Where’s Waldo: Reality”

I know what you’re thinking. What does the picture have anything to do with Waldo, the beloved character that we look for in the pictures with stripes? Well Waldo is the weirdly constructed bear shown above. As of Wednesday, the class sat in awe watching the episode titled “Where’s Waldo?” During election time you had two candidate: one male and the other female. Then there was Waldo. Waldo was an animated bear going around the town making a mockery of the campaign of others and the world of politics. He had “no filter.” He soon gain popularity amongst the people. He was able to voice what many were afraid to fathom of doing. He even managed to somehow enter the election and win! How does this apply to reality? Every way possible.

America has been on the edge of their seats the whole election. We watch as the candidates got lesser and the ignorance became greater. Our dread got worse as we were stuck with two great evils.

.

But what struck a chord in me is how shockingly “Where’s Waldo?” was accurate about America’s current dilemma. Here are the roles:

Waldo: Trump

Waldo is like Trump in most instances. He says things that he wants with no consequences. No one stops him from speaking out because ultimately a lot of individuals feel the same way he does. They even go as so far to protect him just as Trump supporters do. Often times using their twitter fingers and loaded word to intimidate and strike fear into those they strike. He is an unqualified candidate that knows nothing of being in office yet he continued to run and the audience seemed to love that fact even more.

Mr.Monroe: Hilary

Mr. Monroe is quintessentially Hilary. Now Hilary was one of the most popular candidate.  She frequently said things that the audience found useful or helpful. However, when Trump spoke he seeked to deface her character and have the people question her just as Waldo made the audience ponder did they really trust the candidate before them.

Gwendolyn: Bernie Sanders

Gwendolyn wanted to show the world that she could win the election while secretly behind doors knowing that there is no way possible because she just wants exposure so she can do a tv reel. This is sort of like Bernie Sanders. He ran for presidency although it’s not what he really aimed to do. He is an opportunists. He uses every opportunity he possibly can to expose himself.

 Jamie:America

Jamie was once the voice of Waldo until he couldn’t handle what was being done affected the people around him. He never realized he was just a puppet in the scheme of things. We American didn’t know that we were just puppets in this election. We cast our votes only to find that they didn’t matter. The puppet masters all sat back watching as millions lost hope in whether their voices mattered.

With Waldo winning the election just as Trump did we can ultimately predict the future for the next 4 years.
